Want to get noticed by the right people without running ads or begging for attention? Comment on viral content from key opinion leaders (KOLs) in your space, especially on X or LinkedIn.
How to run it
Set post notifications for 100 KOLs. When they post, drop a high-signal, thoughtful comment. The earlier you are, the more eyeballs you attract. Or you can comment once the post is already viral.
Think:
- Add insight, not fluff: "Great take. We tried something similar but added X, saw a 3x lift."
- Ask a question that prompts discussion and DMs.
- "You're speaking my language. Would love to feature your POV on my newsletter/podcast."
- "Interesting take, but it conflicts with the data we've collected. Open to connecting to share notes and show you our solution at {{Company}}?"
Why it works
The post already has momentum. You're just piggybacking on it to steal the mic, for free.
